Four Corners / Cuatro Esquinas by Michelle Trunzo

Michelle’s periodic proclivity towards densely occupied spatial configurations is presented here, with buildings in three corners of the painting and foliage filling the fourth. This street view is of Old Havana with its traditional Spanish-tiled roofs and wrought-iron terraces. Within this work, the road is wet from a recent downpour and the sun is subsequently beaming, revealing the reflection of the buildings in the puddles on the street. La proclividad periódica de Michelle hacia configuraciones espaciales densamente ocupadas se presenta aquí, con edificios en tres esquinas de la pintura y follaje llenando la cuarta. Esta vista de la calle es de La Habana Vieja con sus tradicionales techos de tejas españolas y terrazas de hierro forjado. Dentro de esta obra, la calzada está mojada por un aguacero reciente y posteriormente el sol brilla, revelando el reflejo de los edificios en los charcos de la calle.
