Racial Diversity in Singapore - Jumintan Silaen

This POAP is part of a portrait series titled More Than “Others”, which can be accessed here. The term CMIO (Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Others) is often used in Singapore, but very rarely do Singaporeans know what makes up the “others”. More Than “Others” aims to shed light on minority races in Singapore under the CMIO bracket, growing the conversation about race in Singapore. The objects featured in the POAPs were chosen by the individuals as items that signify their connection to their culture. Each individual has their own POAP that can be attained by reading the article on their experiences as an “unseen minority” in Singapore, and pledging to spread awareness of Singapore’s diverse melting pot of races.
