"After years of silence a dull, steady beat could finally be heard. At first it was too faint to recognize; like the pounding of a drum somewhere in the distance. It started almost as if it were at the end of a faraway echo. But the rhythm grew louder. The beat grew stronger. With time the rhythm enveloped all who heard it and caused them to move in ways they never knew possible."
